For normal function and preservation of hair, its bulbs (follicles), located in the deep layers of the skin, should receive an adequate supply of nutrients and oxygen.
Biochemical reactions necessary for the sustenance of the hair, are supported and activated in the presence of vitamins coming from outside. Now we can see why hair loss occurs very often because of the vitamin deficiency.
Hair loss can be caused by the shortages of the following vitamins:
- Vitamin B2 (riboflavin),
- Vitamin B3 (pp, NICOTINAMIDE, Nicotinic Acid),
- Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic acid, panthenol),
- Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine),
- Vitamin H (biotin),
- Folic acid,
- Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid),
- Vitamin A (retinol),
- Vitamin E,
- Vitamin F.
At the same time, hair loss can be caused by a deficiency of any one of these vitamins, or several of them. Usually, the hair falls out when several vitamins are lacking (2–4 as a rule). Very often people try different treatment methods, without even knowing the real reason of hair loss: using shampoos, conditioners, laser therapy (laser caps), scalp electronic stimulation, keratin regeneration.
To avoid the restoration of hair and reduce or stop the process of hair loss, it is recommended to take a moderate amount of necessary vitamins daily. It is best to take specialized vitamin-mineral complexes. However, if this is not possible, or person wants to take vitamins individually, they should start with the “most important” among the listed. “The most important” hair vitamins are biotin, panthenol, E, A and C.
